Bottled up Inside

Ice courses through my veins

as the blood floods in front of my eyes

wishing it would all just go away

I close my eyes to block out the pain

My head and heart pound in unison

as fear numbs the inside out

I hold up my arms, blocking my face

to keep the pain from coming in

or maybe to keep the fear from coming out
