This is Me

He can’t see me for who I am

what I want to be

what I will become

and he just won’t watch

or wait long enough

he just can’t see

he just can’t see

And why he can’t just understand

this is me

this is me

this is who I want to be

And who I will become

will be a glorious new version

of me

of me

But glorious he sees not

only the ugly

grimy version

who I am not all the time

the only version

that people see

the ugly version

people see
