Where the Silence Hides

Living life where it’s not supposed to be lived
In a place where life is forbidden
We hide and hope they won’t catch us
Not until the very end
The cracks of the universe
Where we hide our souls
Can’t bury our lives
In a hurricane of angry

Don’t breathe or they will catch us
And make us their own

The thump-thumps of your heart
It beats too loudly
Calm your heart
I can feel it
Lock your fear behind doors of silence
For us to exist
We must near the edge
Of nonexistence
