RAINN is an organization that offers free help to people in need. There is a free phone hotline at 1.800.656.4673 as well as a brand-new online hotline/chat area for victims, survivors, and friends and families. They also have a plethora of resources and areas to find more information and help.
This website helped and still helps me a great deal when I’m having a really tough day and need a trained person to talk to at any time of day or night.
On the other hand, there is often a wait period and a line of up to four people being helped in front of you which, in an emergency, can be too long to wait. But the help they give is some of the best out there.
